We are excited to announce that the winner of the first Demas Law Group, P.C., Scholarship is Brielle Johnson. Brielle was one of many amazing applicants and was chosen based on her excellent credentials and her educational goals. She will be awarded a $1,000 scholarship to be used in furthering her education.

We love to support educational goals. This is a way for us to give back and to make a difference in the lives of young people.

The scholarship consists of a $1,000 award to a graduating high school senior who has shown meaningful commitment to improving local communities. Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 out of a four-point scale. Students with a 3.0 GPA who are currently enrolled in a post-secondary institution are also eligible to apply.

We received many entries, all of which showed excellent potential. The decision was difficult, but Brielle Johnson’s application stood out because of her obvious commitment to making her own community a great place to live. Brielle, who plans to major in nursing, has volunteered over a thousand hours to Ability First, Meals on Wheels, The American Red Cross and Grateful Hearts. She says:

“I plan on leaving my mark in the world by helping the sick and the ailing, one at a time, one year at a time, for the next three or four decades of my life. I have always been fascinated with the medical profession. I really love the personal-care side of nursing and being able to help people with their physical problems and at the same time improve their personal lives and situation. I have a goal to serve at least a year on the international traveling hospitals that journey from port to port to the neediest countries in the world in order to help alleviate the suffering of those who have no medical care, no hospitals, no clinics and no treatment centers. There are so many places where there are is no medical assistance at all without the efforts of the Red Cross or other International service organizations. I think of the war-raged countries, the famines, the disaster relief and many other situations in which I would be most honored to participate.”

Congratulations to Brielle and thank you to all the participants in the first Demas Law Group, P.C., Scholarship!
