Meet Erik Gutierrez
Erik Andres Gutierrez earned his B.A. from UC Davis in 2007, and his J.D. from UC Davis School of Law in 2010. During law school, Erik demonstrated a commitment to serving the public interest while working for the UC Davis immigration law clinic, the Federal Public Defender’s Office, and the California Department of Justice. Along with his J.D., he was awarded a pro bono certificate and public interest certificate from the UC Davis School of Law. Erik was also selected by the law school as a student member of the prestigious Schwartz-Levi Inn of Court – an organization comprised of attorneys and judges focused on improving the skills, professionalism, and ethics of the bench and bar.
Erik gained a wealth of experience and knowledge during his legal career while working for firms focused on civil litigation and personal injury. From the initial client call through trial, Erik is proud to have represented injured people every step of the way in their time of need. Erik has also served as a deputy attorney general in the California Department of Justice, where he handled civil rights litigation.
When not working, Erik spends time with his family. He enjoys unwinding by exercising and playing stringed instruments. He speaks Spanish fluently.
