Kylee Newland graduated from the University of California, Davis, in 2015, with a Bachelor of Arts in English, with a minor in History. In 2016, she received her teaching credential from Cal State Teach. Kylee taught elementary school for nine years, in a Title I school, helping educate and shape the youth of Sacramento. While teaching full-time, she enrolled at Lincoln Law School of Sacramento and received her J.D. in 2024.
Kylee’s Awards and Accolades
During law school, Kylee won five Faculty Achievement Awards in Civil Procedure, Family Law, Workers’ Compensation, Advanced Professional Responsibility, and Remedies. She also received the Trial Advocacy Award for Best Prosecution Team and was selected as a Review Coordinator for Lincoln Law School’s Student Resource Center. She was Valedictorian of her class, graduating Summa Cum Laude.
While in law school, Kylee also worked at the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, evaluating peace officer misconduct for inclusion on the Brady Disclosure List.
Kylee has also volunteered extensively, teaching English in township preschools in South Africa, conducting whale and shark conservation research in Plettenberg Bay, South Africa, and running a children’s summer camp for military members serving abroad in Germany. Her passion for helping others spurred her desire to help injured plaintiffs navigate the legal system.
In her free time, Kylee enjoys camping, traveling, sports, and spending time with her husband and two dogs.
