Sacramento Man Burned By Defective E-Cigarette Retains Demas Law Group, P.C.

Demas Law Group, P.C. will be representing an area man who suffered serious burn injuries from a faulty e-cigarette.

Over the past year, the multi billion dollar “vaping” industry has come under increased scrutiny over perceived safety issues. There have been numerous reports across the country of e-cigarettes exploding while in use or detonating while being charged. In some of these instances, consumers have been severely injured by the defective products. This includes our client who suffered extensive burns to his leg and required medical treatment after the e-cigarette he purchased exploded.

In the fall of 2015 our client purchased an e-cigarette. While using the device it exploded resulting burns that required urgent treatment at Woodland Memorial Hospital and UC Davis Medical Center.

As a direct result of the defective device our client sustained permanent scaring on his leg. Demas Law Group, P.C., is pursuing a strict product liability claim against the vendors of the defective device and device manufacturer.
